December 2021

Special event 4th and 11th December

The last day of opening will be the 11th of December after the conclusion of the special event, we would like to thank you all for your support this year, it has been a very unsettled time for all of us and your visits and donations have helped us massively.

Visitors are requested to adhere to social distancing guidelines unless as part of a group.  Hand sanitiser is available and regular cleaning of touch points is carried out.  Adults are asked to wear a face covering over their mouth and nose unless medical exemptions apply. We have a small amount of masks available, all we ask for is a small donation.

ALL visitors are requested to ‘check-in’ via the NHS Track&Trace app or by leaving your details confidentially with the volunteer at reception.

We politely request that visitors refrain from handling any of the artefacts on display as they are generally very old and delicate and, in many cases, on loan to us from various sources.

Regrettably because of the age and size of the building, the museum is not suitable wheelchair users, prams or pushchairs.  It may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility due to the stairs. Prams/pushchairs etc can be left outside but this is at the owner’s risk.  We take no responsibility for items damaged, lost or stolen whilst left unattended.
